What to expect

Things to explore

In between talks, make sure to take a tour around the campus and the specialist facilities for your chosen subject, to see what studying and creating at UCA Farnham is like. Check out the social facilities and accommodation options too. Don't forget to explore Farnham town - which was recently given World Craft Town status - to get a feel of what life will be like outside of uni.

Getting there

By road

You'll find our campus just on the edge of the town centre, close to the Lion & Lamb Walk. Use the postcode GU9 7DS on your sat nav. Parking is limited, but exceptions can be made for blue badge holders - anyone with special requirements should contact the campus directly on +44 (0)1252 722 441 to arrange this. We recommend you use the two pay and display car parks adjacent to the campus - the Upper and Lower Hart car parks (postcode GU9 7HA).

By rail

Services to Farnham run from London Waterloo (via Woking). The station is less than a 15-minute walk to the University. Visit the National Rail website for times and prices. If travelling from Eurostar and arriving at London St. Pancras International, then take the southbound Victoria Line tube to London Victoria, or change at Oxford Circus (Bakerloo line, southbound) to London Waterloo.

By air

It takes between one and two hours to drive from Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted or Luton airports to UCA Farnham. There are rail and coach connections from all airports via central London to all UCA campuses.

Getting there

What to expect

There will be plenty going on at the open day in Farnham for you to get involved in. Attending an introductory talk is a must, to get a formal welcome from UCA staff and get a feel for what the university is like - including their values and vision for you as a prospective student. There's an introductory talk at 10am and one at 12pm to allow flexibility in planning your day. There will also be subject-specific talks throughout the day, so make sure you attend at least one of these, too. If you're interested in more than one course, take a look at the full schedule for the day. Some talks might be repeated but some subjects might clash, so make a plan ahead of time and maybe even bring someone with you so you can split up and attend clashing talks! Aside from the talks, you'll be able to tour the campus and ask staff or student reps any questions you might have.
