1. Developing a business: the local London, and Shhh Festival!

Busking - playing music in the street or another public place for voluntary donations.

Headliner - a performer or act that is promoted as the star attraction on a bill and typically performs last.

Hobbyist - a person who pursues a particular hobby.

Publisher - in the music industry, a publisher specialised in distributing music.

Cabaret - a form of theatrical entertainment featuring music, song, dance, recitation, or drama. The performance venue might be a pub, a casino, a hotel, a restaurant, or a nightclub with a stage for performances. The audience, often dining or drinking, does not typically dance but usually sits at tables.

DJ - short for disc jockey, someone who plays and mixes  recorded music for an audience.

Grassroots music venues - smaller music venues with a specific focus on developing artists. 

Indie band - a small independent band, with music of deliberately unpolished or uncommercialised style.

Metal band - a band performing ‘metal’ music, characterised by heavily distorted guitar riffs and chords, powerful drumming, extra low-range bass notes, and aggressive or throaty vocals.

Singer-songwriter - a person who sings and writes popular songs, especially professionally.

Stagehand - the person in charge of setting up and moving the equipment on the stage.

Stage manager - the person who organises the practical elements of a performance, coordinating things like the equipment needed on stage, the sound and lighting requirements of the performance. 

Tour assistant - the person who helps to organise the administration for a schedule of appearances of an artist or band on their tour. 

Tour manager - the person in charge of the administration for a schedule of appearances of an artist or band on their tour.
