Music Business & Management at University for the Creative Arts

Studying BA/BSc (Hons) Music Business & Management at the UCA Business School for the Creative Industries will set you up with the skills you’ll need for success in the fast-moving and increasingly global music business and management sector.

No matter your dream career - be it record company management, music marketing, talent scouting and development, artist management or live music - this course will provide you with everything you need, as well as the freedom to explore your areas of interest, from merchandising and branding, to management and promotion.In your first year, you will be introduced to the music industry in overview, and learn the fundamentals of business in a music industry context - including foundations in design thinking, understanding consumers, marketing, and business analytics. In your second and third year, you will develop more advanced business skills across areas such as: artist development and management, business strategy, and publishing rights. You will also study elective modules to shape your degree to your interests and career goals, from journalism to festivals to visual communications.
