Course snapshot
Studying BSc (Hons) Business Management at Anglia Ruskin University will allow you to build a sound knowledge base of management practices, as well as the skills and connections you need to launch your business career. The programme is professionally accredited by the Chartered Management Institute.
You can study Business Management at either of ARU’s Chelmsford or Cambridge campuses. Your first year will provide a core understanding of the underpinnings of all successful organisations, including human resources, marketing and finance. In your second year, you will begin to specialise your knowledge in specific business management skills and techniques through core and optional modules, from financial management to HR to business innovation. Strategic management and sustainability form a key part of your third year modules, and you will conduct research into an area of business management that interests you, or undertake a product development project.
ARU’s School of Management provides plenty of opportunities to make the most out of your degree, and elevate your employability. You will receive classes dedicated to employability, including CV preparation and using social media to enhance your professional profile. You will also have opportunities to attend business events and to make connections with local employers. The department provides business support and mentoring for any ventures you may start during your studies, including the chance to pitch for start-up funding through the school’s annual business competition. You can also take advantage of ARU’s Certificate for Professional Development, where you will dedicate time outside of your studies to accelerate your career with skills development in areas such as mental agility and innovation.
You can tailor your Business Management degree at ARU with a foundation year option, a two-year, accelerated course programme option, and the opportunity to spend a year in industry, or spend a semester abroad.
