There are a range of options for studying business at Leeds Beckett. If you want to develop expertise and knowledge about core business functions with an international perspective, International Business is for you. For a good all round business education with an entrepreneurial theme that runs through your degree programme, choose Business Studies.
The Business and Management BA (Hons) programme at Leeds Beckett University enables you to choose your own pathway, including combining them with Finance, Enterprise, Marketing and Law. You will gain a sound understanding of how complex and dynamic organisations operate, and develop your skills on how to successfully and strategically manage them.
The programme will introduce you to the foundations of effective business management; from accounting and finance, to data analytics, to understanding markets and customers. In your second and third years, you will dive into more complex topics, covering multiple aspects of sustainability in business, strategy, ethics, and even the influence of AI. You will develop an understanding of business management issues in both national and global contexts, and across a variety of industries and sectors, throughout your degree. The course also allows you plenty of opportunity to develop your knowledge by applying it in real-world contexts, including the option to undertake a year long placement in industry between years 2 and 3.
