Course snapshot
This four year BA (Hons) degree in German at the University College of London focuses heavily on the development of German language and culture throughout time. In your first, second, and fourth year you will be introduced to, and undertake modules studying the German language across disciplines such as film, literature, history, and linguistics. In your third year, you will undertake study abroad (where German is spoken) to put into practice the skills and linguistic tools you have developed so far. Over the duration of the course, you will study under academic staff who are prominent in their fields (such as German film, history, psychology, and even medieval comedy) and will deepen your knowledge of the German language, developing valuable skills in critical thinking and literacy.
