Geography and Environmental science is at the forefront of the race against climate change. At Liverpool Hope University, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of the physical and human aspects of geography and the interconnections between the environment and society. Through a series of lectures and self-conducted research tasks you will be introduced to the wider contexts of Geography, such as how the World is broken up into various ecosystems. You will look at the various elements of conservation biology and investigate different approaches to conservation. You will also undertake active field work, where you will be conducting first hand research out in the field.
Your second year expands on the knowledge you’ve gained from your first year, with a keen focus on the principles of ecology, habitat management, and exploring the various laws and legislations around environmental policy and planning.
Your third year will tie together everything you’ve covered across the course, and incorporate a sharp focus on sustainability and how we can impact the future of our Earth. One exciting opportunity in your third year is to conduct fieldwork internationally.
