Her specific interest lies in Mathematics and before joining Liverpool Hope University, she worked for thirteen years in a range of primary schools, leading Mathematics and other curriculum areas. She completed the Maths Specialist Teacher programme (MaST) with Liverpool Hope and Manchester Metropolitan University where she explored the use of questioning in Mathematics for effective learning and assessment purposes.
