What students think

Leicester's compact campus, close to the city centre, will help you build a close and friendly community with everything you need within walking distance. Leicester also has plenty of historical quirks, not only being unique as a 'memorial university' but it also; won the first ever series of University Challenge in 1963; is situated right next to the childhood home of Sir David Attenborough; and was central to the discovery and moving of King Richard III's body from a carpark in the city! The uni has several notable alumni, including global politicians, comedian Bob Mortimer and athlete William Sharman.
