The University of Reading began its life as an extension of Christ Church College, University of Oxford in 1892 before becoming an independent university in 1926. An excellent higher education facility, Reading has been awarded the Queen's Anniversary Prize five times. The university is made up of four main campuses - notably Whiteknights being the largest and Greenlands based along the bank of the river Thames. Reading has strong ties with Southeast Asia with their Malaysia campus officially opened in February 2016 offering students the exciting prospect of study overseas.
