The New Model Institute for Technology and Engineering or NMITE is a specialist higher education facility based in Hereford. As a young institution it has an interesting beginning, spearheaded by Jesse Norman, later Hereford MP, plus a dedicated team of volunteers, over £1 million was raised in order to build the university itself, employing its first staff in 2017 and welcoming its first cohort of undergraduate engineers in 2021! NMITE prides itself on its unorthodox approach to learning and education, producing graduates that have true hands-on experience with real projects and real employers.
